The Swedish Astronomical Society organizes an annual event called “Astronomins dag och natt” or “Astronomy’s day and night”. The event is in its 9th year and the theme for 2020 is Earth 2.0 and the intersection of the possibility of life in space and the possibilities that Earth observation offers to better understand our own planet. Generally, Astronomins dag och natt is a physical event but due to COVID-19 restrictions, it was conducted online.

I was thrilled to be provided the opportunity to be a keynote speaker for this event. My talk was on the golden age of Earth observation that we’re presently in and the opportunities it offers. Since I had to present the talk virtually I needed to make sure that it has a good balance of infographics to lock in the attention of viewers. But, I had no idea how to create an environment where the both the presentation and myself were in the same screen without wasting any valuable space. After a few days of reading several websites and trying out different types of software, I managed to put together the presentation below. I hope you find it useful :-)
